yes, I'd say his hair is coming in nicely |
He is getting so big. He really likes to be fed from a spoon
or from his fingers,
he scoots around the house on his tummy at terrifying speeds and on Monday, 2/14/11, he started doing THIS:
Oh No!!!
And then we have Harrison. He is a mass of energy, defiance and know-it-allness. I didn't think I would have to argue with him until he was a teenager, but he is ready to argue about anything.
If I tell him it is night, he says "No! It's Day!"
He'll point to a church and say "That's the Temple."
I say, "No, that's the church."
He says, "No! That's the temple!"
I'll say "Will you please tell Daddy it's time for dinner?"
He'll say "Daddy. Time for dinder."
I'll correct him and enunciate "Dinner."
He says, "No! DinDER!"
I am smart enough to know that these are not arguements that I can win. And I like to think I am mature enough to just let it go, but he won't let me. I try to just ignore his ridiculous statements, but he'll say "Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy. It's Dinder, Mommy."
Until I am forced to say "Yes! You are right! Of course you are right! You know best! I am nothing!!!!"
So, it's fun.
Here is Harrison with the Valentine Robots we made for him to take to his preschool class.
And this is the face Harrison makes when I ask him to smile:
Which is better than running away. Sort of.
But also, he is so great. He is always telling me he likes me and that I'm the best ever and just now he came up and gave me half of his cinnamon toast and said "Us share, Mommy." How did he get so sweet?
